  • The current status of the location by address

  • The expiry date of the location's certification.

Certified operators will be authorised to display the relevant certificate in their place of business and on their website.

If an location has a problem with their status, their certification will be withdrawn until they have fixed the relevant problem.

WHAT ARE THE GUIDELINES?

WHO VERIFIES THE STATUS OF THE OPERATOR TO

CONFIRM THE AWARD?

S.A.F.E evaluates the facilities according to the guidelines provided by the Fire Services Department and Building department requirements.

As layouts in each facility are different, it could be difficult for consumers to know if the site is built according to the guidelines. Therefore S.A.F.E. has professionals to evaluate the facility and documents.

S.A.F.E. is conducted in partnership with with Knight Frank, a global real estate solutions firm. Its relevant staff hold Authorised Persons status in Hong Kong, a legal status authorising them to approve plans and buildouts.

Knight Frank will review all AP provided documents and, where applicable, conduct inspections before making a determination as to whether or not an award is merited.

Once approved, Knight Frank will inform the SSAA and the certification will be awarded. If the site does NOT pass inspection, it will not receive the award.
